Dr. Elizabeth A. Youngerman, D.C., strives to help her patients clinically. Currently, she welcomes new patients.

She grew up in the northern California. Elizabeth initially attended UC Davis. Later she transferred to University of California at Santa Cruz where she met a Palmer College of Chiropractic West Professor. After experiencing Chiropractic in Santa Cruz, she decided to help others as a chiropractor. This journey took her to Palmer College of Chiropractic West where she graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic in 1992.

Dr. Youngerman clinically served San Mateo County for 28 years before moving her practice to Fremont, CA in September 2020.

Her patient consultation begins with health related questions in order to understand the patient’s symptoms within the context of biomechanics, the ergonomic and environmental circumstances. Dr. Youngerman strives to find solutions to resolve, reduce pain or injury symptoms. She provides gentle chiropractic techniques for an effective and comfortable adjustment experience for her patients. In addition to the relief or reduction of the patient’s pain, resolving the contributing ergonomic factors is her current clinical focus.

Dr. Youngerman believes to stabilize a patient’s condition effectively, the mechanical factors in the patient’s environment must be addressed.

Her ergonomic evaluation may include the arches of the feet for pronation, the wrist or hand for carpal tunnel, and the posture of the spine including cervical, thoracic, or lumbar curvatures and lateral asymmetry. Imaging studies are recommended when clinically indicated.

With more than 28 years of clinical experience, Dr. Youngerman has been providing treatment protocols for a variety of clinical conditions including sports and auto accident injuries. These treatment protocols often include gentle chiropractic techniques with physiotherapy modalities; these protocols may utilize muscle stimulation, intersegmental traction, heat/cold therapy, and exercise therapy.
